Partners

Wesapo adheres to corporate social responsibility. To make our contribution as positive as possible and have a broad impact we work together with other 'green' companies and social institutions. We also donate sums to various good causes for each computer system we sell.

Donation: Klimaatplan

We support a project in Pakistan by the Lower Sindh Rural Development Association. This organisation is active in the Mirpukhas district, a dry area that is one of the poorest in Pakistan. Their project involves supplying the local population with wood ovens that burn more efficiently. There are many advantages to using these ovens: People spend less money on fire wood, less wood needs to be cut, cooking takes less time, and respiratory problems are greatly reduced. These improved ovens also make for a substantial lower emission of CO2 which eventually will amount to 1250 tons of CO2 a year. At the same time the LSRDA is replanting Neem trees. The fruit of Neem trees can be used as a natural medicine and repellent for agriculture.

You can also contribute to this project by making a donation to Klimaatplan,
giro 9600, Utrecht, mentioning: 218174 Pakistan - Verbeterde houtovens en herbebossing.

Donation: Eco PC Review

Eco PC Review is dedicated to bringing news, information and analysis to educate people about the environmental impact of computers. This is an issue that is not widely understood, and we are only just beginning to get an inkling of what all those electronic thinking machines might be doing to the environment. Eco PC Review and its forums are our main source of information and we like to give something back in the shape of small donations.

Partner: Greenhost

This website is hosted by Greenhost, one of the first climate neutral hosting companies in the Netherlands. Their servers are located in Evoswitch, the first certified sustainable data centre in the country. Just like Wesapo the electricity for their office is supplied by Greenchoice and they use energy efficient hardware only. We are very happy to be able to have our website hosted in a climate neutral way as data centres produce an enormous amount of CO2.

Partner: Baanstede

For bigger projects Wesapo teams up with Baanstede, an organisation that provides sheltered workplaces and creates a multitude of jobs for people with or without a handicap. The work experience they gain in this way enables them to (re)find a full-time job on the labour market.

Partner: Salland Automatisering

Salland Automatisering is our main supplier of components we use to build low power computers. Not only the good pricing and flexible website, but especially the personal contact and willingness to think along, make Salland an ideal partner. And the knife cuts both ways considering the fact that Salland has recently begun selling its own low power Ecosystems.

Partner: HIER

Wesapo has the honour to be the first computer company in the Netherlands to have obtained the HIER-certification. Applying for a partnership was quite a lot of work as the people of Klimaatbureau and Ecofys didn't have any reference material to check how efficient our computers are. It's this total lack of transparency in the world of IT that Wesapo wants to get rid of. We won't dissapoint HIER!

Partner: Haicu Webdesign

Due to the expansion of our website we were forced to seek help from a professional web designer. Luckily there is such a thing as sustainable web design. Haicu webdesign is a company that designs clearcut websites that are easy to maintain for organisations and companies that strive for a more sustainable world. This is endorsed by their long list of clients of which we are glad to be a part of.
